ALOR GAJAH, July 27 (Bernama) – More than 150 programmes, including 12 focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) education, have been planned for the upcoming Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat (WRUR) programme in the Rembia state constituency, scheduled to run from August 3 to 16.
Melaka State Executive Councillor for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Communication Datuk Fairul Nizam Roslan said the programmes will involve all levels of the community, particularly school students and those from institutions of higher learning, in an effort to provide exposure to AI technology.
Fairul Nizam, who is also the Coordinator for the Rembia constituency, added that awareness initiatives on online fraud will also be held to ensure more people are alert to the tactics used by scam syndicates.
“As the constituency coordinator, I am filled with anticipation to roll out these community outreach programmes in collaboration with federal and state government agencies, as well as government-linked companies (GLCs).
“So far, we’ve held nearly 10 coordination meetings with local leaders and relevant parties to ensure that everything goes smoothly as planned,” he told reporters in Taman Kebaya here today after officiating the Closing Ceremony of an anti-dengue campaign.
Elaborating further, he said that 502 complaints from residents of the Rembia constituency have been received thus far, all of which will be reviewed and resolved in conjunction with WRUR and that most of these complaints involve matters under the purview of local authorities.
